Schedule I — Vehicle Class

Classic Trucks & 4x4s

Pickups and 4x4s kept for what they are, not what they haul. A growing category with its own underwriting story — different use patterns than a coupe or sedan.

EligibilityPleasure use, limited hauling

Classic trucks and 4x4s occupy an odd spot in most insurers’ underwriting — treated either like a work vehicle or squeezed into a car-shaped policy that doesn’t fit. Neither is right for a truck kept, restored, and shown the way a coupe would be.

We underwrite these based on how they’re actually used: pleasure driving, shows, occasional trail use for a 4x4 — not daily hauling. Tell us the truck and how you keep it, and we’ll tell you where it fits.

Questions on this class
Can a classic truck be covered if I occasionally use it for light hauling?
Tell us how you actually use it. Occasional, incidental use is often fine — regular work or commercial hauling generally isn't, since that changes the risk profile.
Do 4x4s need different storage terms than a coupe?
Not usually, though off-road use and modifications are worth mentioning up front so the policy matches how the truck is actually driven.
Other vehicle classes

Muscle Cars & Hot Rods

Numbers-matching big blocks, restomods and street rods. Valued on the build and the receipts behind it, not just the year and trim on the title.

Antique Vehicles

Pre-war and early postwar machinery, often club-toured, usually with original brightwork worth protecting. The oldest cars we insure need the most careful handling — on the road and on paper.

Vintage & Luxury Classics

Postwar European and American luxury — Continentals, Silver Clouds, long-deck coupes with formal rooflines. Cars built to be maintained, not just driven.
