Clause 06 — Add-Ons

Additional & Optional Coverages

A few situations don't fit neatly into a standard policy — a spare vehicle while yours is in the shop, dedicated storage coverage, or transport to a show. These fill those gaps.

A base agreed value policy covers the core risk to the car, but a few situations come up often enough for collector car owners that it’s worth handling them explicitly rather than assuming they’re included. These add-ons are how we do that — added individually, based on how you actually use and store the vehicle.

What's covered
  1. Spare-vehicle use

A rental or loaner while your car is being repaired after a covered loss, so you're not without transportation during the wait.

  2. Storage coverage

Protection for the car while it's in seasonal or long-term storage, including at a facility away from your home.

  3. Transport coverage

Protection while the car is being hauled to a show, an auction, or a restoration shop — on a trailer or with a professional transporter.

Questions on this coverage
Do I need all of these, or can I pick and choose?
Pick and choose. These are add-ons for a reason — most owners select what actually applies to how they use and store the car.
Does storage coverage apply if I store the car somewhere other than my home?
Often yes, including third-party storage facilities — tell us where the car is actually kept and we'll confirm what applies.
